“I wanted to capture the time when a tween and her mother develop little traditions and rituals together – before activities and friends take center focus. I carved movement into their gesture so it appears they are walking together, then pausing to engage, maybe share a little inside joke…

It’s a time when a daughter thrives on her mom’s attention and wants to tell her everything. Her personality is forming, and their relationship shifts. They are mother and daughter, but also close friends.
